Pilot Testing Equipments

Remediation Pilot testing is a critical step in understanding how a site will respond to particular remediation plans.  Pilot testing is recommended and can be conducted to confirm the necessity, applicability, and feasibility of a remediation system. Pilot testing will save your money and time over the time.

Remediation Pilot testing can be done for a number of remediation processes. For instance we can conduct it in Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE), Dual Phase Extraction (DPE), and Air Sparging.

Diversified Drilling Inc. (DDI) owns and rent several truck-mounted and trailer-mounted remediation Pilot testing systems. These systems have different capabilities that are suitable for short-term and long-term operations.  In addition, our well cleaned equipments are ready to mobilize to your sites and obtain site-specific data for designing full-scale remediation systems.

Soil Vapor Extraction

Soil vapor extraction (SVE) is an in situ physical treatment process uses vacuum pressure to remove volatile and some semi-volatile contaminants (VOCs and SVOCs) from the soil in vadose zone (unsaturated) soils. SVE is based on mass transfer of contaminant from the solid and liquid phases into the gas phase, with subsequent collection of the gas phase contamination at wells. Soil vapor extraction is most effective for contaminants with higher Henry’s Law constants, including chlorinated solvents such as perchloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE) and many petroleum hydrocarbon compounds such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX).  Soil vapor extraction is one of the most successful strategies for removing volatile organic compounds (VOC's) from the soil.

The site parameters, contamination levels and remediation objectives are important factors that should be carefully analyzed and reviewed prior to select the best Soil vapor extraction system.

Depending on what your project remediation needs, DDI could provide Truck mounted and Trailer mounted vapor extraction systems. Our expert team will assist you to drill and install the required wells. In following, connect and set up the systems to achieve the best results in your Soil vapor extraction (SVE) projects. We offer these essential services to help solve your most pressing and challenging soil remediation challenges.

Air Sparging

Air sparging is an in-situ remediation technique, used for the treatment of saturated soils and groundwater contaminated by volatile organic compounds(VOCs) like petroleum hydrocarbons which is a widespread problem for the ground water and soil health.

Air sparging involves injecting air into the target contaminated zone, with the expectation that volatile and semi volatile contaminants will undergo mass transfer (volatilization) from the groundwater to the air bubbles. Due to buoyancy (air is less dense than water), the air bubbles generally move upward toward the vadose zone, where a soil-venting system is usually employed to capture the contaminated air.

DDI can provide you Air sparging rental equipments with experienced, properly trained professionals who will accomplish your remediation system installation and operation and maintenance tasks using the quality equipment and supplies you have come to know and trust us for.

Water Trailer, 500 gallons

In any place where water may not be easily accessible, you can transport water on-site with our 500 Gallon water trailer. It can provide clean water to your site or clean up water from your site. Water is discharged by an onboard pump, which can also be used to refill the tank.

  • – 2" gas-powered pump
